The Music Hall would not be able to present one single show without its incredible team of dedicated volunteers. Over 200 people volunteer at the Music Hall and help serve the 80,000+ patrons who pass through the it's doors each year. . What Is The "Volunteer Tip Jar"? At the concessions table is a "Volunteer Tip Jar". We encourage our patrons to support this fund while visiting the theater in appreciation of our volunteers' efforts and the services they provide. The volunteers themselves choose how to spend these funds. They usually opt to put them towards Volunteer Appreciation parties which are thrown two or three times a year.

What Do Volunteers Do? Volunteers take tickets, usher patrons to their seats, and/or help with the concession and merchandise tables. Volunteers may also provide assistance in the administrative office or with painting and building upkeep.
What Type Of Commitment Is Expected Of Volunteer Ushers? Ushers are expected to arrive one hour before showtime and stay until the end of the show. The commitment to volunteer should be viewed as a part-time job. The Music Hall expects the same level of high standards of professionalism from its volunteer ushers as it does from its paid staff members. Each new volunteer must attend orientation and follow-up training sessions.
Where Do Volunteers Park? Visit out parking map here. Transportation and parking are the responsibility of the volunteers.
What Do Volunteer Ushers Wear? The black Music Hall volunteer t-shirts can be borrowed from the Music Hall each time a volunteer is on duty or t-shirts can be purchased for those who prefer to own them. The volunteers' own black pants/skirts and black shoes complete the uniform.
Do Volunteers See Music Hall Shows For Free? Volunteers do not receive a "free" ticket to see shows although volunteers working in the theater during performances may often see all or part of a performance.
