RESTORATION & RENOVATION
Making Plans The Music Hall is working with Marilyn Kaplan of Preservation Architecture and Beth Lacey of Lacey-Convertino Architects, paint and plaster restorers, seating companies, and other professionals, planning the theater's restoration and expansion. In April 2007, the Music Hall purchased the property behind the theater for two million dollars for staff parking and a future loading dock. Keeping Our Cool In May 2008, members of the Junior League of Westchester-on-Hudson made a generous lead gift of $20,000 towards a new air-conditioning system for the Music Hall after the original 1940s unit failed. Contributions ranging between $1000 and $45,000 from Lucy R. Waletzky MD, The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, The Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns, and several individuals were also received. |

Restrooms The architectural plans for accessible and expanded restrooms are complete. Contingent on funding, the $150,000 wheelchair accessible restroom will be built on the main level of the theater during the summer of 2010. The total price tag for the wheelchair accessible restroom and expanded Ladies and Mens' rooms is $400,000. CLICK TO VIEW PLANS (PDF) Donations have been received so far from Lucy R. Waletzky, The Thursday Club, and the Music Hall has been recommended for funding for a CDBG grant.
